Are Bad Genetics Holding You Back?
December 17, 2009
Today, in my video, I’ll be answering the question…
“Isabel, why can some people eat anything they want without gaining weight and I can’t?!”
I know how frustrating this can be. I have to make a constant effort to maintain my 30 pound weight loss and sometimes just can’t believe how other people can eat whatever they want without any ill effects. Or, are they affected in ways we just don’t see?

I agree with the points. Plus I would add you should look at how much people move (not only how much they work out), if they work out and how they work out and at the body composition (muscle vs.fat).This all has influence on the metabolism speed. I have natuarally a very slow one but I have been working on it.In any case, I can not imagine eating all those chemicals from heavily processed food.
I enjoyed listening and learning from your video – as always, but I must admit that today was especially enjoyable with beautiful Christian by your side. He is too adorable…you and Stewart are truly blessed!
OMG, your baby is soooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly adorable!! I barely heard what you said in the video the first time around, your baby stole the show.
Congratulations. Socks on his hands. Lol
Thankyou Isabel for this info. I got an answer to my question I had always wondered about. My sisters and brother eat whatever they want and they don’t get fat, on the other hand a little bit of extra something makes me gain weight. This made me jealous from them all time. Later I learned to accept myself as I am. Anyway thankyou for making it clear to me and people like me.
thanks for taking the time and helping us readers out so much you are the best and christan is so very cute. your the best isabelle and everyone should learn about what you say on your videos about healthy food.i still want to know about pumpernickel bread and if its healthier that whole wheat. and what should we fed our children when they are growing up?
Great video, I too have always wondered why some people can’t put on weight, Up until I was 20 I was in that boat, not anymore. I have also in my own research of only 5 people that are in the can’t put weight on class, that 4 of the 5 go to the loo for number 2’s three or more times a day, So they have a fast metabolism which seams to help.
I knew that the first 2 years in life are most important also when it comes to fat cells. But isn’t it that whenever you put on a lot of body fat and get more fat cells that you then have more fat cells and have to watch out until the rest of this life. Fet cells can get quite empty, but one does not lose them.
